BRAZIL: Major development today. November 22, 2022. 

The President of the Liberal Party is suing the Superior Electoral Tribunal (imagine!). President Jair Bolsonaro's party, the PL filed a lawsuit asking for the annulment of votes from 279,336 electronic voting machines, which are models prior to 2020.

The party hired an independent company that audited what it was able to audit and found out that 60% of the voting machines were compromised. These machines were not pre audited by the Armed Forces before election and they found out that in all these machines Bolsonaro has lost while in the ones that were audited by the military Bolsonaro has won. All these machines have only one serial number which is impossible to determine their specific functionality. 

Alexandre de Moraes, President of TSE gave the Party 24 Hours to include the First Round of the elections and not only the second one. Moraes conditions the analysis of the report if the PL presents data from the 1st round.

According to Moraes, the same equipment questioned by the PL was used in both rounds of the election and, therefore, questioning the functioning of the ballot boxes should also include the first round.  The minister gave the PL a period of 24 hours to send the information under penalty of the action being dismissed in court.

Meanwhile the Armed Forces are still waiting the court to respond their report. They have requested access to the Source Code that was involved in the voting process and in the votes tabulation.

Official audits by the Army were compromised without the access to the code and by many other elements that STE had denied during the electoral process.

The Armed Forces are counting on a political and legal exit to this mess. The country is facing a terrible constitutional crisis. And the ongoing decisions and actions of the Judges are only complicating the situation. Many see their ongoing behaviors, words and decisions as part of a criminal gang that decided to foment a coupe in name of the Law.  

Major public manifestations are still happening in front of the Army Headquarters. Millions of people are still peacefully protesting while there is no public presence of Lula supporters to contradict Bolsonaro supporters.

It is not only these matters that are being considered in this giant chess table, but the whole process were Bolsonaro supporters are being silenced and illegally persecuted. Lula is a criminal that were cleared to run for President by many unconstitutional decisions of the court and millions are not accepting these anymore.

In my humble opinion I don’t think Lula will take power on January 1st. And Military Article 142 Constitutional intervention is at the corner.
